This year I was finally able to go to FOSDEM in Brussels (Belgium). I want to clarify from the begining that this was even possible to “Travel Support” openSUSE, which helped me to deal with the costs of travel and accommodation.
Make this experience was really important for me because it allowed me to meet a large number of people from varoius international FOSS community
In addition to the important meeting, it was a great way to expand my technical knowledge, in particular about embedded linux technologies and ARM (with particular reference to ARMv8). Also I could compare my progress on testing openSUSE on some ARMv5 and ARMv7 platforms with the people who carry out the development of openSUSE ARM.
The FOSDEM has allowed me to meet with many elements of the openSUSE community, and to be able to talk with them about future projects related to the promotion of openSUSE and its community.
FOSDEM is an event not to be missed by anyone who has a passion for free software, and I hope to be back next year, maybe to present my projects.
